Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I insure my horse?

For all the same reasons you insure other valuable and treasured objects.  You would not fail to insure your home, autos or jewelry.  Your horse falls into the same categories as both being valuable and treasured.

What how much and what type of coverage do I need on my Horse?

Your first decision is why you are insuring your Horse.

If it is only to be able to have enough money to replace your Horse if they die under normal (mother nature) causes then you only need a Limited MORTALITY  policy.

** A FULL MORTALITY policy will cover the above in addition to a Horse loss from all other means including Theft.

Are you seeking reimbursement from health issues?

Then you will wish to add MAJOR MEDICAL to your basic policy.

For an extra minimal fee, this will give reimbursement for expenses resulting from injuries and miscellaneous Vet bills.

Are you are concerned with expensive Colic Surgery costs and want to be sure you can afford to have this done if an emergency arises?

If so, you will want to add COLIC SURGERY to your Mortality policy.  This is an option, just like Major Medical is an option, for an extra minimal coverage fee.

For what Value may I insure my Horse?

You must be able to prove a Horse’s value either by Records of Winnings, Breeding Fees, Appraisal, or other suitable means. Contact us for assistance - we are here to help you in every way possible!

If I wish to insure my truck, horse trailer and horse at the same time, is there a discount on the insurance?

Multi policy discounts may be possible if you are insuring Horse, Truck, and/or Trailer with us - contact us for a fast quote!
